Anita came to my rescue yesterday (Saturday) even though she does not work weekends. When I explained what had happened to Truffles she offered to come the next day. I suppose she could tell that my situation was urgent. I was just going to tough it out until I could get an appointment during the week. Having spent the three hours with her grooming Truffy, I realised that I could never have handled it on my own. She knew that and made an exception . . . without me asking.
As for the grooming session itself, Anita was so gentle and patient even when she could see that it was going to take much more time than she had initially expected. Truffy’s wellbeing was the top priority. One step at a time. Truffy completed a three hour session of combing (a ball of hair came out as big as him), bath and blow dry and came out the other end happy and content. Amazing!
