I took Iggles for a groom under sedation following a couple of bad experiences with other groomers.
The last time I had taken Iggles for grooming I was told that she was aggressive and they had to be
strong with her. Iggles was upset by the whole process and was shaking all the way home.
I got in touch with Anita and from start to finish I felt good about everything. I opted for grooming
under sedation as I couldn’t bear to put Iggles through anything too stressful again. I needn’t had
worried as Anita is very caring and knew exactly how to handle her.
I met Anita at Addison’s Veterinary Clinic and she talked me through the process. Anita was very patient
with me (I was quite emotional!). We then went through to meet the vet and once Iggles had been
checked she was sedated. Anita told me that she would call when she had finished and I could go and
pick Iggles up again.
Iggles doesn’t like being groomed but I wouldn’t ever say she is aggressive. Anita knows exactly how to
handle cats. I think this had been the problem previously. Despite the other groomers offering a cat
grooming service, they didn’t know what to do with her.
When I returned to collect her, Iggles was awake and purring. She was calm and ‘talking’ through the
journey home. She even seemed to flaunt her newly brushed coat. The whole experience was so very
different to what I had experienced previously.
I can’t praise Anita enough!
