A little about me.
My name is Anita Kelsey and I have devoted my life to cats and their care. Some clients have called me The Cat Whisperer, but I prefer not to use this phrase. Instead I like to see myself as someone who listens to cats and understands their natural behaviours enough to determine what is happening. Explaining cats’ behaviour to clients, at their wits end, ensures we can all work together towards a common goal.
I have loved and worked with cats all of my life. I spend every day with cats, grooming them, assisting with behaviour problems, and caring for them, in order to help others. I am professionally qualified accredited cat behaviourist and a full member of the Canine and Feline Behaviour Association.
The main bulk of my work is vet referred. I’m also a certified cat groomer (master accreditation) and specialise in working with fear aggressive or difficult to handle cats.
I contribute regular articles for The Canine and Feline Behaviour Association and have been mentored by renowned Cat Biologist Roger Tabor whose recent BBC programme ‘The Secret Life Of Cats’ was a major success. I also write articles for stylish on line pet magazine Style Tails and featured articles for Your Cat magazine.
I Graduated from Middlesex University with a first class honours degree in cat behaviour and psychology (work based). I have an extensive home library of specialist books in my chosen field and am constantly researching to keep on top of issues presented to me.
If you need any assistance with your cat I am most happy to be contacted by email on info@catbehaviourist.com.
The majority of cat behaviour consultations are initially vet referred and are done via email (long distance or international clients ) or a personal visit in your home (UK based). Cat grooming is done also in your home and I travel anywhere in London or Greater London. You will need to print our your vet referral form for your vets to sign before sending to me.
